Description
Outer Ring is a 3rd person sandbox action MMORPG based on the blockchain technology with an open world to explore. Players drive the economy, hunt for legendary NFT weapons, take part in huge PvP battles or venture into dangerous dungeons to fight against bosses and collect epic loot and resources to upgrade their weapons and ships.
Outer Ring is FULL TOKENIZED. This means that inside its context, any Non Fungible Asset will be a NFT, and any Fungible asset will be a FT.
All swords, fireguns, armors, vehicles, ships, lands, buildings and things inside buildings are gonna be NFTs and all the Resources needed to craft these: iron, copper, gas, wood, etc. are gonna be FT.
What we aim to create is a Player Driven Economy. Outer Ring won´t craft or sell anything from the basic tier upwards, all is gonna have to be crafted by the player.
Getting the recipes, gathering the materials, having a character that has enough skill to craft items of that lvl... etc.
Outer Ring is not gonna have your typical classes, just skill points that you will have to assign to different talents on a talent tree. But we are not talking about spells and stuff, but things like aiming, driving, running or gathering.
This will force users to create synergies, since there will be people with a great bonus on gathering materials, but not that good at fighting. And of course, the best materials are gonna be in hard zones, like full loot pvp zones. In which yes, if killed you will drop some things (not everything, of course) so you may want to hire mercenaries to defend you while you gather and vice versa.
This kind of system will create some obvious synergies but there will be others that will be created by the players. Maybe a pirate guild, that just pillages spaceships, or maybe a guild that does the fastest and safest materials deliveries throughout the Outer Ring... We do not know yet.
The game also has DEEP lore. In fact, it even has a prologue novel to be released explaining all that happened before the 5 races got to the outer ring, and the reasons for the 4 factions, etc. And our goal is to expand, and extend that lore outside the game too, so our discord, irl events, and more, will be relevant and aligned with it.
What we aim for is that the users will, in the end, trade with their time and effort put into the game. Every asset created by a user will have their time and effort (at least) as intrinsic value. All the hours invested to learn how to gather, craft and level up will not be for naught!
